When a friend asks you to make her some fat bombs, you do it. Why? Well, I wanted to help a girl out ….and selfishly, I wanted some for myself, so win-win! These Keto Fat Bombs take a whole 5 minutes to make BUT keep in mind, they need to set up in the freezer for at least an hour.
Healthy Fats
As I’ve mentioned many times, I am more of a paleo girl than keto but I do like to consume a higher fat diet. So what do I do to keep healthy fats in but not be consumed with macros or being in ketosis? The answer is simple. I just add fat when I see fit. I love healthy fats. I personally feel like it’s done a world of good for my health.
I remember back in the day, when I did the “no-fat/low-fat” diet. I honestly looked so awkward. I was thin but a fat thin, if that makes sense. And I had crazy cellulite on my little body! Oh, what a Keto Fat Bomb would have done for me at that time? I literally ate 15 grams of fat per day. If I went over, I probably made myself throw up. No lie. I’m not proud of that period of my life but it is what it is.
Realizing what healthy fats can actually do to our health and physique was mind blowing! I literally started to see muscles in my ab area, that I had never seen before. I didn’t have brain fog and guess what? The cellulite disappeared! The more fat I added to my meals, the more satiated I became and my body reacted in a very positive way. Keto Fat Bombs aren’t just for keto peeps. They are delicious little bites, giving you the freedom to eat a treat, all the while giving you some healthy fats. I have another recipe that you might like. I have gotten quite a bit of positive responses to these Keto Cups! Clearly, I have a sweet tooth for dark chocolate. So I find these recipes to help me out with that, without giving my blood sugar a crazy spike!
Make It Your Own
I love the versatility of any keto and/or paleo treat. And if you’re not counting macros, you can tweak the nut butters to suit you better. I originally wanted to use cashew butter for these Keto Fat Bombs but I realized that some following the keto diet, find cashews too high in carbs. So again, if you’re not counting ….by all means, tweak it to how you see fit! Monk Fruit is the sweetener I used but coconut sugar would work for sure. Another modification you could make for those not consuming dairy, is to use Kite Hill Cream Spread, instead of cream cheese and/or butter. There are many things that you can do to tweak it to make it work for you. If you have questions, please let me know!
Above all! Enjoy these, or any treat, without guilt. We need to be ok with indulgences! Now go ahead and make these Keto Fat Bombs and enjoy!
